OUR PAINTING ACTIVITY
On April 6, we dyed t-shirts with the dyes we obtained from plants in our school's laboratory. One of the natural root dyes we use is red cabbage. Its name is red but its color is purple. So beautiful! We used 4-5 spoons of granulated sugar for a small cabbage. For the yellow color, we used chamomile, turmeric, and hibiscus herbs. For our red color, we boiled the cherry with sugar and it turned into a gorgeous red. We boiled spinach and mint for the green color. We tried tea and pomegranate syrup for different shades. It was very entertaining work. I would like to thank my student named Eylül A. for giving us a batik painting course.
